Why is my mouse not mating?

MOUSE BREEDING?!Can you have two male mice mating two girls in the same cage?

  • i have two does, one buck atm, but the i dont want the buck to be lonely, and he has already escaped his cage to be with the two girls. So, if i bought another boy, he wouldnt be alone, but once you seperate them they cannot live together right? so instead of putting each girl with a boy in a cage, could i have two boys and two girls in the cage? i dont care which one mate with which, i just dont want him to be alone, or two fighting males. Thanks alot x they are soo adorable :) i havent owned mice in so long, i just bought them yesterday.

    well if you really want them to mate i would not put them in one cage that would make more fighting about who gets who so 2 per cage

no,the males would fight,bucks are supposed to be kept alone,they will fight with other males,females can be kept with other females,he probably only escaped due to his sex drive,not loneliness,you shouldnt house your females with your males,its unhealthy for them to have litter after litter after litter,and the male may kill the kits,unless you want to get your male neutered,he should be in his own cage.

DO NOT ! ! ! I been breeding Mice, and they will fight and kill, believe me. As soon as their have Babies, the Stress level will be high and they will probably kill/eat the Babies. Get two Cages, not too close to each other, because they can smell each other, and put one Dude with one Girl, in your Situation, one dude and multiple Girls are gonna work two if the cage is big enough. Have Fun ! ! !
