I think I can convince my parents to let me get a hamster but I need a little more advice 10 pts 2 best answer?

The same thing happened to me when I wanted to get my hamster... So, I asked my dad and he said yes but my mom was still kinda mad, so I had to convince her, too. First, I told her I'd change the bedding in the cage once a week and bleach the cage every other (this means getting the bedding out of everything and taking the toys out, filling up the sink, adding bleach to the water, and soaking the toys in there for a half hour...you then take the toys out and soak the cage and make sure after everything has soaked you wash it off with just water.) Also, tell your mom that you will wash him/her off every other day with a wet paper towel or toilet paper. This didn't do much, but it convinced her it wouldn't really smell. Second, I reminded her of all the responsible things I do, and that the last time I made a promise to her I kept it. Third, print some things out about the type of hamster you want to get, and that should just about do it. If you can't find any research you can ask me... I have a book on it. Well try showing her how responsible you can be, look after the other pets really well for a while!! (Five pets IS alot, ive only ever had 1 hamster at a time, no ther pets =[)

1. that's a good awsner. i do the same thing but with my 2 rats i have 2 cats and a dog. so i think u can do it 2. 2.no they don't stink that much. yah so change their cage every week and ever mounth do a more deeper cleaning 3.hamsters and way easer to take care of. all u have 2 do is feed them and play with them for a lil when u get home at night. ask her if u can take care of like idk and egg or something long enough u can get one.

Hi I have had over 73 hamsters as I am a hamster breeder. Hamsters are only cheap and they don't smell if you clean them out. tell your parents to give you a second chance. I think hamsters are funny. They can be fun to watch and your parents might like him/her. If you do get one I would get a male as they are tamer than girls and more lazy and eaiser to handle. We have lots of other pets to but they are not propely mine that is why I am aloud them. We also have a rabbit, a cat with two kittens, another cat which are my mums and my little brother has a creepy tarantula! I hope your parents let you.

I've had about 10-12 hampsters(not all at one time). 1. Tell them you are responsible, but not only tell them, show them(maybe babysit so they see you are good with kids so youll be better with animals) 2. Hampsters are not exspensive i got my hampster for like 8 dollars at petsmart and petco 3. They won't stink that bad if you get a glass cage and wash the cage once a week and sometimes with a little bleach. 4. hi. Well what you should do is first of all show your mum info about the hamster you would like, pics of it and show her a real one (if your friend has one then take her too see it.) 2. Get other people to convince her as well e.g get your friend or someone your mum really trusts (not saying she doesn't trust you, u know what i mean) and get them to exaggerate how wonderful hamsters are and how wonderful it is to have one. 3. Say you will clean the cage every week, and will clean the hamster with a towel or something everyday & make sure that it wont smell because hamsters aren't smelly animals. 4. Say that you will clean the hamsters toilet area every day. 5. Prove to your mum that you really are responsible by doing extra things with your other pets like taking extra care of them.
