  • Answer:

RABBIT PROS: highly intelligent, feisty and funny come in a range of different sizes from dwarf to giant extremely clean and easily litter trained can be taught tricks sociable and friendly, love lots of attention nowhere near as nervous as guinea pigs longer life span than guinea pigs (exe pt giant breeds of rabbit) incredibly playful and fun rarely bite perfect house pet RABBIT CONS: don't enjoy being picked up and can be very hard to handle they chew and dig a lot need lots of space to exercise GUINEA PIG PROS: a lot easier to handle than rabbits cuddly make cute noises playful and fun sociable and friendly love attention more intelligent than most people give them credit for can learn a few simple tricks rarely bite GUINEA PIG CONS: extremely nervous and skittish, can take a while to settle in a new home can be a bit messy, nowhere near as easy to litter train as rabbits can eat you out of house and home lol not as playful as rabbits Both are EQUALLY great pets, im glad I own both so I don't have to choose! You should just pick what appeals to you more and what fits in your lifestyle. Whatever you choose, you will love it!

They defecate a lot, rabbits more than guinea pigs. Rabbits are much more fun however, and are for the most part very warm and friendly. Guinea pigs are not as playful.

both are great to have but personally id say get a rabbit.... They poo abit more around your garden but they are fun to watch & are alot easier to handle. Rabbits are happy in grass although need hay everyday & food etc.. same as the guinea pig. Guinea pigs poop less in your garden, but they are noisy as they sqeek so not good if you have close neighbours lol. They need different food as require a higher vitamin intake than rabbits. They are fun to watch but get nervous when trying to pick them up etc... ive had both but woudl choose rabbit everytime. guinea pigs are smaller & cute but rabbits are worth it!! lol.

Guinea pig pros: Live to be 6-9 Can learn basic tricks Love to cuddle Nearly never bite unless handled wrong, or if there's a scent of food on your hands Vocal and make lots of fun sounds! Guinea pig cons: MUST be in same sex pairs, not just one (so you can get one of each!) Need a LOT of room (about 7.5 sq. ft. for one pig, 2-4 more per companion) (http://guineapigcages.com) Aren't the cleanest of critters Need constant cage cleanings VERY skittish and run away if not used to people yet. Need a lot of food: Unlimited Timothy Hay, 1 cup of fresh vegetables and a small bit of fruit 3x a week, about 1/2 cup of pellets. CANNOT use a wheel or ball Rabbit pros: Larger, therefore harder to loose Cage can have a grate on the bottom Not particularly hard to litter train Long lifespan (I don't remember exactly, but longer then a guinea pigs) Don't run as much as a guinea pig does Cons: Many need to be altered Need a lot of food (more then a guinea pig) Aren't into cuddling Are a lot more messy There's more, but it's too early in the morning for me to really think anything worth taking too much note. I would recommend the pigs. I have both of these, and I really love my pigs <3

I have never enjoyed guinea pigs. They are noisy, smelly, they run if you even pet them.. My cousin had some years ago. They bite too. I have 2 male rabbits, 9 weeks each, and they are so much fun! They are more fun than a puppy! And they were cheaper than guinea pigs. They love to run around the house and "bink." They're inexpensive to feed, a cup of pellets a day and loads of freshveggies like kale, carrots and alfalfa sprouts! If you get one, get it young! After holding them everyday, they don't mind unless they really want to play! And you hate rats??? Omg, I have 3 and love them! Have fun choosing!!
