Can I make my fan page into a group page on facebook?

What application of facebook do I need to make people become a fan to see certain content?

• I have just created a facebook group, and i know on certain other groups, there is a little application tab requiring you to 'Become a Fan' to see the content. How do I make/use/get one of these to add on my page?   you can get the facebook widgets by scrolling down to the bottom of your profile page, and click on "advertise". Follow the prompts, and you'll find how to advertise your group.
