What programs do you need to view pictures on facebook?

I just got a new computer and I can view most of the pictures on facebook but there are still some of them that I can't view. Instead of being able to see them, it will be an all white picture with a small box full of shapes in the middle. What software am I missing that allows you to view these pictures? Thanks for your help
