Is there any way you can block someone facebook chat?

You can't specifically block just chat, but if you just unfriend them, they get blocked from you chat anyway. Otherwise, you just have to click appear offline whenever they log in

yes, there is! its a lot of steps but its very simple! click on your chat, click on 'Friend List' then click 'Create a New List' (what i did was just named it the persons name im blocking) the group will then show up under Chat. the group name will be there, then a long line. if you run over top of the line with your mouse, right next to the name, it will say edit.(if it doesnt, refresh your page.) click on edit. towards the right it will say, 'start typing someones name'. so type in the person you wanna block on chat once that person shows up, click on it. there name will then highlight in blue and have a little check in the corner. then hit 'Save List' Then, on the far right of your chat, there is that little green oval with a circle. click on that. it will turn grey. (if doesnt, refresh your page.) Now, you and that specific person will see eachother as offline. if you ever want to unblock them from chat, just click on the grey oval with the white circle, and it will turn green. -hope i helpeedd! Don't worry there is a way do one thing the person whom u don't want to chat ....make that person in separate list and put them in it and make sure that u close those people from chat bye moving those slide in facebook chat.... and one more thing make sure they only belong to that single group
