What is wrong with my Facebook chat?!?

My facebook chat has not worked for months. I am sick of emailing facebook and getting no reply! So, basically I am using Firefox for Mac. My chat icon on the right hand side of my screen is completely unresponsive. On the left hand side it shows me who is online, but I am unable to chat to people... Also, my friends say that I show up as offline. What the hell is going on?!

It's just facebook's problems..it happened with me and i made a new one so it worked , like try to use another browser maybe it will work ^_^
