What is wrong with the facebook friend request system?

• Ok, so recently I discovered a problem on facebook that wasn't just happening to me. I added someone who I knew from school and waited a couple of days and it still said "Friend request sent" on her profile, so I messaged her being like "hey, you know me" and then she said she didn't even get the request. I have added a few other people too who never got the request (because it still said "friend request sent" on their profiles). So then I thought this was because I was adding too many people but then, I get a notification on my phone that someone wanted to be friends with me. So I go on facebook, and there is NO notification that this guy wants to be friends with me. So then I went to his profile and it said "respond to friend request". Yeah, facebook, how the hell am I supposed to know this guy even friended me if I don't get a notification for it on facebook?? Facebook is really starting to piss me off. I'm trying to add people who I know and want to connect with and even ones who I don't see very much so as you can tell I'm beginning to get a little pissed off at facebook and their screwed up friend request system. And just so you know, I took a two week break from facebook (I was at camp) before I tried adding these people again and they still didn't go through (they didn't get the notification for the request but if they went to my profile it would say "respond to friend request). Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. And for those of you saying the people declined the request, no, these are legit people who I know and am good friends with and who would accept me. Like I said, the same thing happened to me, my phone gave me a notification for a request but facebook DIDN'T. And a girl I knew said she simply didn't get the request. There you have it. Why the hell is this happening?? Really, bravo facebook! I can't even connect with some of my friends from camp who I barely get to see!

  that's been happening to me too! i have no idea what it is, but it's really pissing me off.
