How do I remove a group from my calender?

Can A Public California School Force Me To Remove My Facebook Group?

  • I am a senior in high school and I was called down to the deans office and was told I needed to remove a group that I started on Facebook. The group page is named Mar-beshears-ology and basically is a group for students who had an english teacher name Mar-Beshears at my school. The page is meant for students to express their frustration with this difficult teacher and nothing illegal such and threats has been said. Only a dozen students or so joined. My school has not threaten me with suspension or expulsion. They also could not point out what school rules I broke. My question is can my school force me to remove this page. here is a link to that page. http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=mar-beshears&init=quick#/group.php?gid=203041199834&ref=search&sid=100000264908087.590137491..1

  • Answer:

You have a right to an opinion, as does every single person in the world. Maybe your group has content offensive to the teacher? Change anything offensive, but keep the group. As long as it is not disruptive to school lessons or programs, you are allowed to keep it. Please let me know how it went.

as long as it does not discriminate against your teacher(e.g. i hate mrs whatever) facebook will not take the group down, meaning they cannot take it down and have asked you to. yes, they can threaten you with suspension and expulsion, but they cannot force you to take it down.
