How do you find out how long you have been on facebook?

The remember me button isn't working on Facebook, how do I contact Facebook to find out why it's not working?

  • I keep clicking the remember me button on Facebook but it's not working, what am I doing wrong? Is Facebook having a problem with this? I tried the help centre but couldn't find anything on it. And then I found a question on here about someone trying to find out how to contact facebook admin and the answer that was provided and chosen as the best answer isn't working. And yes, I have already gone into my internet explorer settings and made it so that it remember passwords and such. I already googled that and fixed that. Now it remembers password that I enter for other sites, but NOT facebook. I use facebook SEVERAL TIMES throughout the day and this is REALLY starting to annoy me. I'm almost to the point where I'm going to close my facebook account.

  • Answer:

Don't let people convince you this is a browser issue -- it is NOT a browser issue. This is a Facebook issue, pure and simple. The very browser I'm using right now stays logged into Yahoo! for two weeks at a time. Sites that I've developed keep the user logged in for several hours or days at a time. And yet, oddly enough, Facebook forgets me nearly every time I return, even if it's only been twenty minutes. There is nothing complicated about using cookies (and encryption when storing credentials). Sure, you can configure your browser to remember your creds, but that's not recommended if your PC is shared by others. It's also a silly solution to accommodate one site.

I've been having the same issues. I am using IE8 and when I first upgraded it wasn't a problem. Only in the last few weeks has it become an issue. I have done the above and it didn't work. I have cleared the cache numerous times and it didn't work. I have googled the issue until I'm blue in the face to no avail. The only option I have left is to use another browser.

Use firefox www.getfirefox.com this is an issue with your browser and not with facebook. You can also try clearing your internet cache.
