How to keep facebook status but also delete it?

This question is kinda complicated. what I mean is how do I keep for example: "tonight was fun we have to do it again!" as a status but also delete it so people cannot comment on it. I don't want to block my status comments. For example If I put "tonight was fun we have to do it again!" as my status previously and people liked it and commented on it but it got deleted but the status is just on my wall now not being shown to any one. how do I put that status back up so people can see it but not comment on it. yeah I'm really sorry I know its confusing but I need help. thank you

i don't think what you're asking is possible, or that there would be enough demand for that feature to justify adding it in the future. sorry pal.

You can't do this on a status-by-status basis, as far as I know, but you can control who is allowed to make comments on your status updates. Go Here: http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy&ref=mb Click on Customize Settings. Under the "Things others share" section you'll see an option for "Can comment on posts" that will allow you to control this.

You deleted it. Its gone now. You can't get it back with all the comments it had, you can only type it again.
