How do I hide a facebook group?

Is there a way to post on a group without your friends seeing on Facebook?

So for some reason now, facebook feels the need to show what you post to everyone. Say my friend "Sarah" joins the group "You know you are from Brooklyn when..." Whenever she posts on that group I can see what she writes even though I am not part of that group. So now I constantly see people writing on groups every 5 seconds. So I joined a group for the Disney College Program, and I am constantly writing on it, to ask questions, or just talk to everyone in general and I don't want my friends news feed blowing up with my questions they don't care about. So my question is, is it possible to block my friends from seeing what I post on that site or hide what I write so they can not see every time I post on it?
