I cant take 'Take Photo' on facebook, even though i have a mac camera and photobooth works?

Ok so i have a mac that has a built in camera, its a 2009 model... i can take pictures on photobooth, and video chat on skype, but when i go to facebook and click the 'Take a Photo' it says it cant find a camera... it says 'PLEASE TURN YOUR CAMERA ON OR MAKE SURE THAT IT IS NOT IN USE BY ANOTHER APPLICATION' then a button that says 'LOOK FOR CAMERAS AGAIN' ......i click that button and it still cant find the camera... then somthing new pops up 'Adobe Flash Player Settings' then it says camera and there are 3.... "google camera adapter 1 and 0 , and built-in iSight" and i have tried clicking all of them :/ I had my sister log onto her fb on my computer account and it diddn't let her take pictures either, but when she is on her account she can. So it must be something to do with my account on my computer i guess... not facebook... and i have tried firefox and google chrome

Ok, this might be an offbeat suggestion, but have you ever used one of the video chat apps on Facebook? Maybe you just need to add one of those so your webcam will be "synched" with your FB account. Then you can just take photos on there (they call them "snapshots" and they have cool effects too). I had the same problem a while ago and then I tried that and it work, but I don't really understand why!
