How do i deactivate my old email in facebook?

• i have changed my email login address and have no problem login into facebook with the new email but the old one still there and whenever i search my account with the old email, i find my account again. The problem is that i have shared my account with friends and now they can easily trace me with the old email id. They can reset my email and password and put it back to old one once again. They can therefore easily access my account. Now i don't want to see my old email id active in facebook. please help me out. Now i am having privicy problem.

  I 'think' if your go to your profile, find your old email addy and replace it with your new, the old should disappear. OR, change the password on old email. If either of those don't solve it, go to the help center, while on fb, there will be a solution for you. I guess this is true example of what our 'friends' can do, pretty scary. I hope this is an easy lesson for you. Easy in the sense that these people don't cause you 'ugly' trouble. I hope some of this helps. Good Luck to you. ps you 'could' delete your whole Facebook and start a new one. Unless you have lots you don't wanna get rid of. Another thing, if you DO delete/deactivate, change ALL your privacy setting to either no one OR friends only. Then NO ONE can search and find that one, or change any password. This is crazy for you! I hope I haven't TOTALLY confused you. You can also 'unfrend' someone, then block them. They won't know you've done this. I have done both, works great.
