    Facebook is great for friends and family to connect with each other. You can also get lots of coupons and promotions from your favorite companies if you follow them on facebook. I am not as familiar with google's social networking, but if you have a business, google helps you get more noticed in their pageranks when people are doing searches, so it benefits you to use them as well.

You can not compare Google with Facebook. Facebook is purely open source social networking that improves both your relationship and business connections while Google is basically search engine with some sort of social networking e,g youtube etc.

The benefits would be that you get to socialise with many people and connect with others you may have not seen in a while, as an example .

I don΄t know what you mean by benefits... If you talk about communicating with people i would say facebook. Everyone has one, so you would be able to rech most of your friends that way. If you mean about adds i really don΄t know...
