Should i cancel friend request on facebook?your advice?

i had a friend,he is no more my friend,but last month i sent him friend request on facebook.com,i thought we had good friendship,but he didn't accept,nor he rejects,and now i also don't like him,and i don't want he accept my friend request,so some time i think i should cancel the friend request,but some time i think it is not a normal and cool act to do that,and also i think if i cancel friend request then he will think i am caring about him,but on the other hand i don't like him and i don't want he add me...so need your suggestion

Remove it because if he didn't accept it now he's not going to accept it later.sorry....

if you don't want to be his friend, then just cancel the request, it will show you don't like him anymore
If you're not friends and don't plan to be anymore, I would just remove the friend request.
