How do i make a wall post from facebook my profile picture?

I made a new profile picture, but so that people could see it, I posted the picture on my wall. So when people see the version of the picture of their news feed, they like that version instead of the actual profile picture. Is there any way to make that wall post version my profile picture, while keeping all of the likes?

you can make the wall picture your profile pic by clicking 'make this my profile pic' - but didn't you say that it already is? the 'likes' will stay on the pic in the album, but there is no way to have the likes show up on your actual profile
