Can facebook delete your friends without permission?

Do you ever delete people from your facebook friends?

  • I noticed a little while ago that I had 100 (I think it was partially a facebook error) facebook friends..but now I've added people, and I only have 99. Then I noticed...A girl I've grown up with, and known since I was little biddy kid, who I last saw in may and wished happy birthday too..Appears to have deleted me off her friends list :\ I'd never had that happen Before. Even people I dont talk to hardly ever ever ever, dont delete me. I dont delete people either. I figure facebook is kind of like a giant address book or cell phone contacts..You add more because you never know when you may need them, and its kinda nice to stay in touch. So, people, do you delete people of your friends lists?

  • Answer:

Well, Actually i agree with you. i don't see why anyone would delete me if we have been together forever! but my answer and advise is, no i have never been deleted and i have never deleted anyone, and my advise would be, send them a friend request again, if they say no or don't answer in about a week, call them. if you don't have their number write on your friends wall asking her to ask why she deleted you. good luck! :-)

i deleted one person, who kept spamming my page telling me to go to a website and i wasnt gonna go to it b/c i didnt want my computer to get a virus b/c thats what i figured it was.

I've only deleted 1 person ever. And it's because I never want to see them again - they were being very nasty.. Maybe your friend accidentally deleted you? I think that can happen..

I've never deleted anyone. I have only been deleted once, that I'm aware of, this was because of a misunderstanding, which led to an argument. It could be a problem with your friend's account, or a mistake, or someone else hacking in (perhaps a friend who has her password). If you think it wasn't deliberate, or perhaps a misunderstanding (like it was for me) you could send her a message and ask her if there was a problem. Apart from that, there is not much else you can do. Good Luck.
