How private is private on Facebook when it comes to your personal information?

• i say this because facebook gives you the option to pur ur personal info on private right but people put their information on private but choose only certain people to share their personal info with like their cousins or friends n so on. And when we want only our cousins and certain friends to see our info is that happening or is our cousins n friends showing our profile and info to their friends to? so why does facebook even give you the option of being private cause u are never private on facebook or any other website n why would u want to post your information for the whole world to see , god only knows whose seeing your profile when ur not online n hello the internet is around the world so is facebook? And don't blame facebook for you having put ur personal info for the world to see and then someone u don't know sees ur information n steals your personal info , its not facebook's fault it is yours, again don't post personal information on facebook or any other website.
