On facebook how do i make it so it only shows status updates?

on the home page i really dont care that "joe became friends with bob" i want to see "joe is happy" i only want to see status updates how do i change it so it only shows the status updates and not people joining groups and things i dont care about

Answer:
on the left hand side of the home page there will be tabs that say "news feed," "photos," "status updates," "family" "pages" etc.... click and drag status updates to the top of your tabs. This will make it so your home page only shows status updates. I hope this works for you.
