How does Yahoo! make money?

How does Google,Yahoo,Facebook,Youtube,… and other big site make money if you dont have to pay?

  • i dont understand how they make money unless its all from donations or if like microsoft pays every big site and for youtube im not wanting to know about the partner thing i want to know how the creators of these big sites make their money most of them are some of the richest in the world

yes theres ads, they get money if they show another companys ads bcuz those sites have alot of people on it facebook has apps or games and some things in the game u have 2 payl 4 to get ik coins or somtin, and some of that money goes to facebook i guess youtube, when u put up a video u can choose 2 pay so that youtube can advertise ur video more so it will get more views (i think google brought youtube)

They make money by clicking on ads on them. Click on a advertisement on Google,Yahoo,Facebook,Youtube,Twitter. The more the clicks the more they generate.
