Someone is impersonating me on Facebook! Help?
-
Someone recently created a Facebook page just like mine and is now starting to add all my friends. They even set all there interests to mine. They even took my profile picture and made it theirs. So they have their name like mine, their profile pic like mine, and all their interests like mine.. He/She even set their address to mine. They are pretending to be me by chatting friends and also posting statuses like how Jeter just got his 3000th hit. Thats something I would post cause I love baseball and everyone knows that. The only thing I have over is that I have 500 friends and they 70. There friends list keeps growing because he/she is adding everyone I have on my friends list. I reported them to facebook and said that they were impersonating me. I have a feeling Facebook will ignore it or something. Its really creepy. This person has messaged me and stuff. Am I allowed to call the authorities? Im scared that they will start saying wierd stuff to my friends. I couldn't have one idea of who it is. I dont know about you guys but I find this extremely serious! Please help me! :( Thanks- Jake

tell your friends which one is the impersonator and why don't you talk to the impersonator and try to see if you know who they are and if you don't why don't you just ask who they are?and facebook probably will ignore it but sometimes it doesn't and do you have any enemies ? because it could be an enemy
You have to report this to Facebook. What this person is doing is highly illegal and should not be tolerated.
I agree about facebook not doing anything. I've reported to them before and they've done nothing. You should make your friends private so they can't keep adding them. Just go to Privacy Settings>View Settings>See your friends list. You can change it there. You should also put the link of their profile on your status letting everyone you have know it's a fake. Just try it and hopefully your friends that have that person will delete them.
AWWW it could be a girl that is using that to get you to talk to her. T.T 22nd century dating. How cute. :D Facebook might listen to you because it is obviously the same except the freind list so you got them their. Or they might ignore it because it is so identical they might think your trying to pull something over on them because he has less freinds or something.
Go on the imposters page and report as a fake profile then say it is impersonating you. You can do this by clicking the link at the bottom of the profile page.
Block that user from accessing your account and then they won't be able to copy what you do. restrict your security to friends only, and then clean up your friends list to those you actually know and speak to, and advise them of the imposter. Other than that, not much you can do. Wait and see if facebook does anything about it, but I doubt it.
