How do you delete people from your friend list on Facebook?

How is someone added to my close friends list on facebook if i never put them on it?

• I have a facebook profile and i realized that i have someone on my close friends list but the problem is i never added them to it and im not friends with this person... when i try and delete them they don't show up on the page to delete people but every time this person updates there status it pops up in my notifications... they don't even show on the main list either... and there not my friend cause it still says friend request sent.. so i don't know what is going on... to me its not a big deal but my main question is how could that happen like if i got hacked by them or they did it somehow and id also like to know if it happens to me then does that mean when i post a status then they get notifications like i do too?? also they are not even in any of my subscriptions either... Please help me.. Im so dam confused

  Easiest explanation would be that you added that person accidentaly.. But since you say he's not even a friend and still appears in your close friends list and his posts appear in your NOTIFICATIONS, i should say that it's probably some server error.. Your account ain't hacked.. You could only wait for it to get right by itself.. And try blocking the person or something too.. Hope i helped..:)
