How can I fix MSN messenger webcam problem?

What can I do to fix the connection on my laptop? Or is it a problem with MSN Messenger?

• I have just aquired this older laptop secondhand from a friend. It works fine and connects to the internet fine, but I have some problems with the connection. Whenever I am logged into MSN, I do not get many of the messages sent to me and occasionally get logged out randomly. Is there a way I can fix this myself? Is it a connection issue or is something simply wrong with the computer? This did not happen when I was using it over other WiFi networks.

  the problem could be, that you are only just in range of this router, this means when you move around you can become out of range of the router, also you may be only just in range, which means you wont have a fast upload/download speed, which sometimes makes apps like msn give up as it has sent so many packets and not recieved many. you can solve this by moving closer to the router, hard wiring the laptop through ethernet of buying a router with longer range, preferably a wireless n router hope this helps
