Why wonэt Windows Live msn Messenger download on my computer?

Windows live messnger problems.?

  • msn was working fine (i have the newest version) then i got a virus. to get rid of it we wiped our computer. since we wiped it everything works expect windows live messenger and google chrome. i have been browsing off safari and windows internet explorer. whenever i sign into windows live messenger it says your contact list is not availablem i tried to uninstall it and then reinstall it but now it says cannot conect to the internet but i obviously am, other wise how would i be on here. one day i eventually managed to download it again, i have no idea how. but the same message appeared. so stupidly i deleted it and reinstalled it now it wont install again. the weird thing is it works on another user on the same computer ( they are the same versions of msn ) SOMEONE PLEASE HELP its been like this for about 2 months now.
