Webcam won't work on MSN?

  • Whenever I accept a request to open webcam it takes forever then logs me out and our internet restarts. We have a wireless network but it used to be okay with it. I even got a new laptop because i thought my old one had too many problems. No settings were changed in any way. Is our network just dodgy?

    A) Uninstall Windows Live Messenger Erase the installation folder and this (XP): .\Documents and Settings\All Users\WLinstaller (or something that begins with WL and sound like that) in Vista is in .\ProgramData\ REBOOT: REALLY IMPORTANT, I DID IT WITHOUT REBOOT AND DIDN'T WORK After reboot, reinstall.....And everything's done. B) download the new windows mesenger here http://messenger.live.com/ this would be easyist to fix the problem. or 1. Navigate to the following folder: Windows XP/2000/Vista (32-bit): C:\Program Files\McAfee\SiteAdvisor Windows Vista (64-bit): C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\SiteAdvisor 2. Right-click on the file sasets.ini and choose Open With, then select Notepad. 3. Locate the section titled [msnmsgr.exe]. 4. Change Enabled=1 to Enabled=0. 5. Click File and select Save. 6. Close sasets.ini and restart your computer for changes to take effect.
