Si this true about eBuddy messenger, its a social sight like msn?

in these 3 days my gf has been using her dads mobile fone to chat with me through eBuddy Lite messenger. We talked and today she told me to go on at 5 when i get back from uni. I went on and she wasnt on, so i waited 30mins and she still didnt sign in. So i rang her up and asked her why she isnt on and she told me cause shes over her best friends house Jade. Jade came back from camping by the way. She also told me that her dad go angry cause he got charged 25cents a message through eBuddy lite messenger. So is that true or is it a lie, i dont know can someone tell me. My gf used her dads fone to talk to me through eBuddy its like MSN messenger, and she tells me that her dad got charged. Please help.

eBuddy is free for everyone, but the internet isnt, so her dad got charged because she used the internet feature on his phone.

its just a free page... but sure she got charged cuz of the internet connection... or maybe she has been using the sms service to chat ya..which means she has been smsing u insyead of using the ebuddy page...and ya its like that if u use sms service to chat u get charged for each msg u send :)
