How do you unlock msn with messenger plus?

MSN Messenger won't download on my mac!?

I have a macbook pro with Mac OS X and whenever I attempt to download MSN messenger and then attempt to sign in I get a message saying "A newer Version of MSN Messenger for Mac is available. You must download the newer version in order to continue using MSN Messenger. Would you like to do this now?" I click yes, and it takes 30 minutes for the update to download, but when it is finished nothing happens! MSN closes, so I go to open it up again and I get the same message! I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, but that doesn't work. I've made sure that I'm downloading the correct version of MSN (for OS X) and I'm downloading it from the MSN website, but it still refuses to cooperate! Any ideas? Thanks!!
