How do you get Msn Messenger past ur Anti-Virus thingy!?

  • hiya everyone!, i posted before about the lastest msn messenger(the one after 8.5) not letting me log in because it says "the communication platform has stopped working" i think the problem is f-secure/shaw (my anti virus) cause after closing the thingy that says the communication platform stopped working a bubble about checking my anti-virus' website pops up, i really didnt find the site that much of help.. (that or i suck at looking up things xD) but i was wondering if anyone can help me to get msn past it so i can get on msn again! i miss it soo much >:! Btw i have Vista.

    first, why are you paying for anti-virus? many great ones (and better than pay-for) are free. i never heard of fsecure, i checked it out, and it looks legit. In the settings of it you might find a part of programs that it allows and add messenger to it. just dont click any IM links that are viruses because you opened the door for em.
