Will I be able to install a previous version of Windows Live Messenger?

Serious problem with windows live messenger 2009...help me plzzzzz...?

some days ago I installed last version windows live messenger 2009. I hadn't any problem with WLM 8.5 but I thought perhaps this new one will be better or faster in connection. but I faced with many problems. I installed it easy but now I can receive just some of my friends' messages and them too. in voice chat sound is not clear and sending and adjusting web cam have problem too. I restored my system but windows live messenger didn't work. I uninstalled all windows live messenger from my system and tried install again version 8.5 but Microsoft website installed obligatory again version 2009 and again same problem. please help me what should I do? what is the reason of my problems with 2009 and how can i install again version 8.5? plzzzz help me....

install version 8.5 or another old version. steps to keep using the old version of MSN Messenger, 1. Exit the entire MSN/Live program 2. Right click on the icon of MSN/WLM 3. Click on Properties 4. Go to Tab Compatibility 5. Select the check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode" for: and choose "Windows 2000" 6. Click OK to apply the changes
