How do I get a new font for my MSN messenger?

Msn live messenger problem?

so i try to get on my msn messenger and usually when im about to sign in it shows my pic and this time it doesnt and everything is smaller(font and everything) so i sign in and my display pic doesnt fit in the green box like its not even with it and it doesnt show any of my friends like at all the whole box is empty.. but my friends can see me online and message me but i cant even see any of my contacts what can i do? do you think i need to upgrade, if so which one do i upgrade to? thankss<33

upgrade to the latest version http://download.live.com/?sku=messenger or install "MSN Messenger 7.5" it's pretty cool version :)
