When is the new MSN coming?

My emails keep coming up on my dad's computer? I only signed into MSN once, and exited it when finished.?

  • I was visiting my dad, and he was busy downstairs so I decided to look at my msn. He doesn't know that I have two Msn accounts, and I signed into the one he's oblivious of. (One I use for family, and the other is used for friends.) When he was coming upstairs I right-clicked on the Messenger icon and chose 'exit' in a rush for him not to see what account i'm on. This was 2 days ago.. He rang me up today, because he's new to technology, and asked why on the Log-on screen it said he had '8 unread emails for [email protected]' (An email he had never heard of before) So he looked at his emails anyway and there was none in his inbox. He loves getting emails so got frustrated when he couldn't get them up. xD Not knowing that they're mine, not his. I didn't want him to find out my account because it had an embarrassing name that I made up 6 years ago whilst going through a poser phase (It's a teen thing!), so I denied anything to do with the Email address, even though it has my name in it. >_< I've changed my password on the account, hoping that it won't pop up on his screen saying about my unread emails, because you have to sign into Hotmail/Messenger to see if you have any new messages. Have I done the right thing to stop them from coming up on his pc? Or will I have to do something to stop it when I'm round his next? Also, say you left your Windows Live Messenger signed in at somebody else's house, if you change your password from home, and the person is using your account without yourself knowing, will they have to sign in again, or will it keep them signed in, even though the password has changed? I know it's a stupid question, and sorry for the long-windedness of it all, but answers would be appreciated. Thanks. Hannah xxx

  • Answer:

Set his old email acount back by logging him back in. Or turn off the messenger by going into Prefrences or Options and click on the box next to Start when windows starts. Then hit save.
