How can i make my webcam on MSN to NOT automatically accept a request?

  • How can i make my webcam on MSN to NOT automatically accept a request? whenever my friend asks to open the webcam, im guessing they click on the picture of the webcam beside the display picture, and in the conversation, it usually asks to accept or ignore the request. but for some reason my msn automatically accepts the request. maybe i chose something when i installed msn into my computer, but where do i go to enable that option?

    Do you have MSN Plus? If so, click on the MSN Plus icon, then click on preferences. Click on the Conversations tab at the top, then under the Main tab (on the left hand side), you'll see a section at the bottom that says Auto Accept Requests. It's likely that you have yours set to "automatically accept requests by default". Just unclick it and then you'll have to accept any file transfers, webcam sending/viewing, etc. You can change it to auto-accept some things and not others. If you don't have MSN Plus!, sorry, I don't know how to help you.

Hello if you do not have Window Plus Live Messenger I recommend you get it by follow my steps :) goto Google and type in MSN Plus Live, then go to the site and install, once installed open msn again goto your main menu bar... click "Plus" then "Preferences & Options" Then with all the tabs there... Click "Conversations" and on the side bars stay on "Main." Now on that there should be in Bold a thing that says "Auto Accept Requests" under that should be a box with the words "Automatically Accepts Requests by Default" if that box is checked un-check it hit "Apply" then "Okay" Now if the box wasn't checked... Check it, press apply, then Un-Check it... Press Apply again, and then Okay. Hopefully that fixes your problem :) Have a nice day.

you can go to the msn options and then the personal tab and then un-check the box that says let others see you have a webcam. this allows you to invite your friends but they cant ask you to see it without your permission. if you have msn plus go into preferences and options and then click on the conversations tab and then change your auto accept options to do not accept automatically. hope this helps!!
