WIndows Live Messenger question.

WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER; please help if you know anything in the slightest about windows live messenger.?

i currently use the new version of windows live messenger (the 2009 version), or some of you may know it as the messenger where the display pictures are at the right side instead of the left! anyway, this is my new laptop. my old computer broke a few months ago but i had a version of windows live messenger on it that i really liked. i have no idea what it was called. but all i remember was the emoticons like :) and :P and :$ were different from the ones on any other msn! they were sort of shiny.. and had a different outline. it's hard to explain but i'm certain that is the only msn with different emoticons. does anybody know what the version of msn is called? or where i can download it? i have tried searching on google 'windows live messenger all versions' 'list of all versions of windows live messenger' 'windows live messenger with different emoticons' and many more things. any help would be appreciated. thank you.

I found a thing called Messenger Plus, could that be it? Please see sources. Personally I would just upgrade to the latest version of Windows Live Messenger because you'll probably have to eventually anyway.
