How can I download MSN 8.2?

I can't download MSN Messenger, help!?

• I've gone to download the last msn messenger, click the link to download, download the wlsetup-web (1) thing which normally you would click to open up the full setup to download messenger, but it doesn't open up? and when I go to view it in folder, nothing comes up either? Why wont it work (Im using Windows xp and Google Chrome by the way)

  Hello there, it is called Windows live Essentials these days, containing Windows live Messenger, and here are the system requirements: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-essentials-system-requirements You can get any older version from Filehippo, a good safe free site: http://www.filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/ Any version that is described as MSN instead of Windows Live should work as long as you have a legal installation and the right system requirements. You will have to uninstall any newer version that you have first though, although that will probably not apply to you. Might be an idea to download it via IE anyway as it is a Microsoft product.
