On msn I can only invite video calls and not webcam?

For my birthday I received a netbook with a built-in webcam. The webcam comes up on My Computer, but on MSN it will only send out video calls and I can't invite people to view my webcam. Apparently, the windows messenger I'm using has disabled this - which version do I download that would allow me to invite people to view my webcam?
