How can i download an older version of MSN?

i have a new computer with Windows Live 2011 and would like to download MSN IM 7.0 so I can talk with friends who have older computers/software. I've uninstalled Windows Live 2011 and downloaded and installed MSN IM 7.0 but when I try to log in to MSN 7.0 my computer is saying i can't because it's an older version. I need help please. Thanks for any information you can provide.

You can still communicate with your old contacts with Live 2011. You don't need to go backwards, it will allow you to still talk with your old contacts
