Msn Messanger wont download?

Why wont windows live msn messanger download on my computer?

• recently i have wiped my computer ... the internet works fine and so does every Program i have downloaded so far but when i try to download windows live Messenger ( any version ) i press download then it opens a paige which should open the downloaded or the installer but instead it says cannot connect to the internet or if i do manage to get to download the msn downloader it says loading for about 5 minutes then it says cannot connect to the internet but yet the internet is fully connected so i do not know what to do .. i have windows xp and my firewall works and i have tried various sites and i don't know what to do help me please thank you is you can i need msn !!

  Why don't you try adding Windows Update to your list of trusted web sites by doing the following: 1. Open Internet Explorer ;-) 2. Click Tools in the top menu 3. Click Internet Options. 4. Click the Security tab 5. Click Trusted Sites 6. Click Sites. 7. Under Add this Web site to the zone, type (or copy and paste) this URL: http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/. 8. Click Add 9. Click OK.
