Why does my msn messenger sign we off?

My Msn Messenger signs me off and on without doing nothing just talking to people on Messenger. Why does this happens to me? It's for anyone who log in to my computer on Windows Live messenger? If anyone can help me please do. If i download Msn Messenger would it do the same? And where can i download this? i don't want Windows Live Messenger
