How to see who's online without having to sign into MSN?

Among the people that did not block me, Is there a way I can see who is online without using MSN messenger? like in my hotmail for example?

sort of. well i sometimes use my hotmail to use msn. go to your hotmail and sign in. thentheres a big Hotmail below the windows live sign in the left hand corner. go to your right from there.....under the sign out and left to the options theres a MSN tool thing. use it then appear offline. got to people and there you go. pictures outlined in green are on. =D by the way you must be in your "mail" page
