My webcam keeps freezing. Why?

My webcam keeps freezing my MSN.?

• For the last few days every time i have turned my web cam on in MSN to have a videocall with one of my friends all of a sudden my computer freezes and i can't to anything except bring up the task manager. I tried updating both my webcams software and my MSN's software. and deleting and reinstalling them both and my MSN still freezes. my Web Cam used to work with MSN. i have no clue what else to do.
