Windows live messenger stopped working?

I have had windows live messenger 2009 for a while and it has been working totally fine until now. When I try to open WLM a message comes up saying: -windows live messenger has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available- I have tried to re-install WLM but the same message comes up. I don't know if this have to do with the problem but I have windows vista. Thanks in advance

is your computers clock set to the right time, compare it with the clock on your Sky TV. Secondly, this is only a guess, it might be because you havent got an anti-virus program installed but this is only a guess because if your computer gets infected, the infection will be emailed to all your contacts in your email address book, even outlook express

Seeing as you've tried to reinstall it, you could try a System Restore to a time when it did work to see if that fixes the problem.

Try to reinstall it. WLM it's pretty poorly coded in my opinion that's why so many people have problems with it. Stupid WLM, I hate it so much X(
