I cannot install the new MSN (STUPID VISTA!!!) & it requires that it HAS to be installed now to use it, help?
-
I've posted this on answers before in the past, where people have kindly linked things they have found on google to fix this stupid error that Windows Vista always give when trying to install programmes. Now the new MSN requires me to install it to allow me to continue to use the service, which has annoyed me massively now because Vista, as crappy & buggy & shite that it always is won't allow me to install this now, it gives me the following message : The windows installer service could not be accessed, This can occue if the windows installer is not correctly installed, contact your support personnel for assistance. Please try installing windows live programs again. An unknown error occured. hr:0x80070641 This has done this on LOADS of things before, I've spent hours on google to find a fix (none work), i've been on microsoft website & upated / reinstalled windows installer (never works). Anyone who could help fix this would be an absolute legend & 10 points will definitely be awarded, believe me when I say it's appreciated, my MSN is important to me due to my contacts on there. Seriously, Microsoft should compensate people on this instead of saying "Yeah buy the new Windows now" .. Vista has to be the worse thing I've ever know, it's disgusting.

sorry where would i find the link? lol :)
Use your registry cleaner to get rid of registry problems and make sure your Windows Vista Updates are complete. This is usually the problem when something like MSN won't install. Most problems are not the operating system itself, but fragments left over in the registry that prevent programs to be installed. It doesn't matter whether your operating system is Windows XP, Vista or the new 7, if your system registry is clogged with fragments from partial installs or improper uninstalls of programs, you'll experience problems installing new programs. If the MSN program has their own uninstaller that you can use, this would be the best idea. I'll also provide a link to others that have had this same problem so you can see more possible solutions.
