Cam won't work with the newest version of MSN? (Windows Live)?

Hi, I was forced to download the newest version of MSN, I've always had problems with this version so I never bothered to download it but now I need to. In my older version of msn my camera worked fine, but now this one does not pick up my camera at all, it gives me that little box with a camera and an X on it like I don't have one. It's not a problem on my cameras side since I can open my camera settings and see everything fine. if it means anything my camera is built in.
