Why won't MSN work for me?

  • So recently, I had a virus..A major one..I'm talking about a hack here..I downloaded a program that instantly got rid of the virus..The creepy thing was, when I entered the control panel, I saw this "ASP MACHINE ACCOUNT" or something. So I just deleted it..I feel creeped out..Anyways, Windows Live messenger won't connect...That's not all.Yahoo messenger won't connect either. It's telling me "We can't sign you into messenger. WLM failed because the service is temporarily unavailable", when I try to repair it, it's the PROXY server and keyports that have the problem..It recommends that the firewall settings should be changed..But I changed the firewall settings..MSN is allowed through the firewall.. I can sign in from the web..Just not with Windows Live messenger..How do I connect? The internes fine.

    the best option u have here is u must uninstall all anti-virus programs, let ur windows firewall to be activated restart ur pc n u can use ur Live Messenger & of course Yahoo Messenger also

i just use www.chatab.com it's an IM portal where you can sign into your MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Facebook, or others. Very simple and no download is needed.

You still have a virus, most likely a trojan. download avast anti-virus and run a boot time scan. that should fix the problem.

You need to delete all the files in your System32 folder.
