What is the best new MSN?

NEW MSN, please help, I don't know what I've done !?

heey, well my msn had been giving trouble. so i tried to install the new one but it failed, and when i go to the "Start" menu, the shortcut type thing has a blank page as it's picture and says i cannot access it. So i typed "windows live messenger" into my start menu and my msn works. however when I go to my start menu and right click on the blank msn icon, and go to properties-then security, it says it's unavailable. Also, I tried to get the msn icon back in my start menu, but it went to me desktop, how do i delete that safely without deleting my msn? Also, how can I get the icon back in my start menu and for it to work, and how can I get the security back? I'm not the brightest bulb in the bunch and I'm really upset i've messed up my computer, Please help me. Thankyou everyone :)

Go to control panel and uninstall windows live messenger fully. Then download it again! xx
