Can you work the webcam on MSN for Macs?

My webcam doesn't work on MSN video call! please help?

i just bought a webcam off amazon after reading lots of brilliant reviews about it. I plugged it in an installed it, and now when I go to my MSN webcam settings, it gives me the option of "default Webcam" or "webcam" only one of them works, but one works one minute, then the next it doesnt so you have to use the other. THEN, i tried using video call and no picture comes up & the other person cannot see me. PLEASE HELP!!!! :( i dont know what to do.
