How can I watch youtube on ubuntu 10.04?

Can't watch youtube with firefox?

  • I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and firefox as web browser. Normally I'd be perfectly fine to watch videos on Youtube, but since I changed the connection from Ethernet to Wireless (still the same WAN), the videos won't play (Internet is still accessible). They just keep loading for a while and then display the text "An error occurred. Please try again later." I can still watch them with Chrome though. If I change back to Ethernet, firefox works with Youtube again. So it seems the problem is that Youtube videos won't play if I use Wireless. My wireless router is D-link DI-524. I don't know how to fix this problem and I'm very confused right now. If anyone knows please give me some explaination and solution. Thanks in advance.

  • Answer:

Try re-installing Flash, the problem doesn't really make sense, but Chrome has it's own built in flash and doesn't use the systems. I'd start there.
