How can I save my computer desktop's background as an image/pic?

Why Wont my background show in my Youtube Channel?

• I have a background - Total size: 59.1KB.... the maximum is 256KB for the background. Here's what I did if you can see if i did anything wrong. Went to my channel: Themes and Options Show advanced menu Background Image: Then I browsed for my background. I Selected it. And waited. And Waited. And waited some more. I left my computer and came back 20 minutes later. The Background Image box was greyed out. I clicked save changes. Assuming that it'd been done. I waited for it to save. The little circle load image just kept turning round and round. Left my computer. Came back 20 minutes later. It was still loading. I refreshed the screen... and Nothing. However.. When i navigated to the Background Image box again... where the browse box should be there was an option: Delete. So i assume the background is there.. but i cant see it?? I use sunlight theme. I dont think it has anything to do with the background not showing because i tried another background and it worked. Please Help. Thankyou. On another note: How do i make my channel boxes transperant?

  think u should change resolution of image for example,1024x768 change to 800x600
