How can I get back into my YouTube account?

To have a YouTube account, you must have a Google account, which I did. Until I deleted it, not realizing that having a Google account was the key into accessing my YouTube account. Now when I try to sign into my YouTube account, all I get is: "The username or password you entered is incorrect." I have tried going to the account recovery page (http://www.youtube.com/account_recovery), but it doesn't work. I would really like to get back into my YouTube account. I have some videos on there and don't have extra copies of them. Any way I can get back into my account? Any help would be much appreciated.

GUH lol idk. maybe googles like facebook where you just deactivate it.
